HP Officejet 3830 Ink cartridge Installation
You can find suitable HP Officejet 3830 ink cartridges by registering your printer model in the HP Store. You have to connect your printer to the internet for registering. So that, your printer will automatically purchase the cartridges for you. You can also find the compatible cartridges in the printer’s manual.
How to install HP Officejet 3830 Ink cartridge
- Ink cartridges are provided in the printer box.
- Open the ink cartridge access door of the printer. Wait until the carriage becomes idle. The carriage settles at a different side depending on the model of your HP printer.
- Unpack the ink cartridges, and remove the protective tapes on it.
- Handle the cartridges by touching its black colored plastic.
- Do not touch the copper-colored contacts or the ink nozzles in order to avoid the ink clogs, failure, and bad electrical contacts.
- Also, try not to replace the protective tapes on the contacts.
- Hold the cartridge such that its nozzles face the printer and insert the HP Officejet 3830 ink cartridge into the respective slot.
- Install the black color cartridge into the slot located on the right side, and tri-color cartridge at the left.
- Insert the cartridge by sliding it into the empty slots.
- Gently push the cartridges until they fit into their respective slots.
HP Officejet 3830 Ink cartridge replacement
Ink cartridge replacement is made when the cartridges run out of ink. Or, if there are any damages in the cartridge. Failures in the ink cartridges lead to printing problems with the printer. The replacement is also done when you install incorrect or incompatible ink cartridges. To avoid the scenarios with the ink cartridge replacement, it is recommended to use Genuine ink cartridges that are purchased from the HP Store.
- Ensure if your printer is powered on. If not, turn on the printer by force pressing its power button.
- Lift the access door at the top of the printer. Wait until the carriage moves and stays idle. Press the old ink cartridges downwards, and take the cartridges out by pulling it outside.
- Take out the tri-color cartridge from the slot at the left, and black color cartridge at the right.
- Unpack a new ink cartridge, and peel off the protective tapes over it. Do not touch the copper-colored contacts or ink nozzles to get rid of ink clogs, failure, and bad electrical connections.
- Insert the cartridge into the respected slots by holding the copper strips facing the printer.
- Move the HP Officejet 3830 ink cartridges at an upward angle and push them until they fit into the slots.
- After installing, close the access door of the printer. Align the cartridges using the HP Solution Center.
How to reset Officejet 3830 ink levels
Turn off the HP printer if it is powered on. Open the access door which is located at the top. Lift the cartridge slot, and take out the ink cartridges from the printer. Power on the printer by pushing its power button forcefully. Wait for a few minutes so that the printer becomes silent. Now, disconnect the power cable from the appropriate port of the printer, and the electrical outlet. Replace the cartridges into its respective slots. Close the HP Officejet 3830 ink cartridge slot, and access door of the printer. Power up the printer, and complete the reset process.
